Want to test with in CI? How to set it up for GitHub Actions is now part of the TruffleRuby docs: And as a bonus it's much faster to setup TruffleRuby (5 seconds vs ~100 seconds in TravisCI)

The last couple days I've been optimizing `bundle install` on with a small Gemfile and got it down to just 19s, when it was 84s before, that's 4.42x speedup!

You are not forgotten. I am still considering the idea. It's a tough trade-off to make decision.

The semantic change is literally one line of code in parse.y. Only one spec needed to be changed, and that's only because Ruby 2.6 removes **{} in the parser. Should we make migration to Ruby 2.7+ easier? And make Ruby code more beautiful by not needing explicit ruby2_keywords?

The Rails test suite passes with my proposal of ruby2_keywords by default: It's more compatible with Ruby 2.6, preserves *args-delegation, and provide a better migration path for delegation. What do you think? Should we merge it?

I made some slides to discuss migrating delegation in 2.7: I think this should explain the problem visually, and my proposal to fix it. Feedback welcome. These slides are for the upcoming ruby developer meeting.

We propose Pivoted Query Synthesis (PQS), a new approach for finding logic bugs in DBMS (see ). Using PQS, we found ~100 previously unknown (and many critical) bugs in widely-used DBMS (e.g., SQLite3, MySQL, and PostgreSQL). Work with .

might finally return sorted results for Dir.glob, which would make it deterministic on all platforms: FWIW, already sorts Dir.glob since 2016.

New blog post where I clarify there is no need to update RubyGems for Bundler 2 and propose a smoother migration path to Bundler 2:

hey I just switched rom-rb/rom to your ruby setup action and it worked flawlessly! Thank you once again <3 Any plans for supporting shorter version numbers like ruby-2.6?

It supports exact versions like 2.6.5 and even the latest 2.7.0. The setup for building Rubies is entirely automated at cc since I think you were all looking for something like that.

If you were looking for a GitHub Action to setup , and , search no more: It uses prebuilt Rubies for each OS, so it takes just 5 seconds to install your favorite Ruby in Actions.

One might think I'm too dramatic. Possibly. But does it sound good design to ask Ruby developers to add some magic calls by guessing and otherwise give them a false-positive warning every time they do delegation with *args?

When you realize that apparently nobody understands fully and its designers seem fine with a solution where people have to guess where to use it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I hope will approve otherwise I think Ruby 2.7 is doomed.

I have an idea to not need in 2.7 and keep *args-delegation just working in Ruby 2.0-3.3: Please share your opinions. This would remove the need to use in your code and keep delegation working.
