    Conversely, I've come to appreciate Rust's approach (initialization literals/encapsulation) more and more. It's simpler, more flexible, and forces your invariants to be set-up before your object is usable.

    Todays issue was a bug found when upgrading Clang where improper use of 'this' caused a field to just silently stop being initialized. Thanks, C++.

    I've come to strongly dislike constructors in C++. There are far too many rules you need to know to avoid the footguns, and they're not idiomatically fallible.

    Hey, Mozilla engineer and Chromium committer too here... Not having multiple implementations of the web means that the web stops being an open platform... People start relying on Chromium bugs, and standards / specs become useless, making innovating impossible.

    Top-tip: if you have an O(n^2) loop, for (int i = 0; i < n*n; i++), you can make it O(n) as follows: for (int i = 0, n = n*n; i < n; i++).
