You forgot to mention Asian Americans ancestors were never slaves on U.S. soil and the failed war on drugs was not a war on Asian people. 
They would rather claim that rules and data are constructs of a white supremacist system which separates people into boxes and then tries to quantify their human worth. You cant data and logic people into a position that they got into based on hysteria and ignorance.

It's the kind of supremacy that comes from self-flagellation, the voluptuous supremacy of pretend masochism and humility. I think Nietzsche wrote about this in Genealogy.
Is it fair to say that the US was built on a system that had institutional racism baked in but that folks from a deeply Asian cultural background have had enough discipline to excel within that system?
Or that the institutional racism was primarily from 1619-1970 and specifically directed at blacks while the majority of Asian immigration happened post-1970, and mainly during the 90s-2010s? There’s better arguments against institutional racism than comparing whites to Asians
