    Ive heard the appropriate metaphor is Y2K. If you deal with it it's fine. It feels like a blip. If you don't deal with it, planes fall out of the sky. SARS could have been terrible and so could Y2K.

    There is an art to replying and commenting, and probably like 60-70% of people I’ve seen on the internet fail at it. The important thing is not to speak your mind, but to “support” the OP. You can support them by disagreeing well & you can “mis-support” them by agreeing stupidly

    Uh oh.... The Government cannot respectfully disagree with the Supreme Court on the law. When the Supreme Court states the law, that is the law, whatever any of us feel or think about it. That's how the rule of law works. Buckland has a statutory duty to make that clear.

    I only recently realized that premium mediocre is the opposite/antidote of imposter syndrome. Embracing your mediocrity means you're forgiven for asking for help. Realising that your mediocrity is still valuable means you can still ask a premium.

    Just realized why I’m randomly spitballing about unsexy jankiness issues in everyday products (obvious missing features like battery level etc). It’s the opposite approach to Media lab. Domestic cozy over premium mediocre applied innovation.
