Imagine if there was a common standard for all command names, set out in some kind of verb-noun type combination with baked into auto parameter population and standardized help+example metadata constructs. Cheat sheet would be built in.
...that sounds easy, but it's after the fact; all those tools were built at various times by various people making stuff that made sense to them at the time, and linux is just a mix of alladat-plus, the legacy of bash? yeah these commands ain't going anywhere lol
I was being a bit of a troll sorry.... I just think Powershell gets a lot of stuff right in this area.... incidentally, it’s operable on ‘nix now... nice!
oh yeah Powershell is pretty legit...but i mean that was Microsoft trying to get right something they'd screwed up for so long too imo
i still think bash leaves less to be desired than other options...come on-it ain't THAT difficult lol
