14 311 artifacts in the cdli database are seals: either physical seals in collections or composite seals that represent artifacts that must have existed since they have been used to seal tablets in the past but have not been found to this day, were destroyed, or recarved.

In one year, 50 more collections and 50 more proveniences were added into the @cdlinews database. How many of those do you think were actual legitimate unique new places? I am SO glad this is the last conversion of data to the new framework where we are using controlled vocabs!😸

Broad Street is go! has rubber-stamped the 18-month trial for removing parking and (semi-)pedestrianising the road. Council leader Liz Leffman, standing in for at today’s meeting, has given the go-ahead: “I’m delighted we’re moving forward with this.”

Plans to semi-pedestrianise Broad Street could be adopted by @OxfordshireCC tomorrow. The scheme would see two Broad Meadow-like public spaces, pay-and-display parking removed, more bike parking, and a loading ban: “less like a highway, more like a place for people”.
