Hey #gameaudio people, looking for tips on UI SFX design and implementation. What have you found works for you in the past? The UI SFX in my current project don't feel amazing but I'm not totally sure why and I need to spend some time experimenting. Any suggestions appreciated!

The intention was to use source that belonged in the wwii era, but pulling back a bit to make it sound new or even abstract to an extent so you couldn’t recognize that a gun was used, or at least what gun was used, for example.

I guess what I’m saying is, grab source for other content that belongs in your project’s world and build from that palette. Maybe your first asset isn’t the navigation system. Maybe it’s some reward effect. And if it sticks on screen then you can tackle more challenging stuff.
