I wanted to be an animator for pixar. When I went to collage I realized I was not anywhere I needed to be as an artist to reach that goal. I found sound design sort of by accident by taking an intro to sound design class and fell in love with it.
That’s awesome! I too started in animation and concept art, and ultimately switched when I took an elective in sound design. Best decision! My brain doesn’t think in vertices and IKs!
