I saw a post today harshly criticizing new, aspiring sound designers for recording vegetable gore (celery, lettuce) source as being too “over done.” This is a garbage take. Everyone has to start somewhere, and we should be encouraging rather than gatekeeping in game audio.

Agreed. There’s also so much value in sharing the process with others, even if it’s source we’ve all done before. Love seeing how other people approach it, what mics, etc.
