Here's a quick comparison video of raw recordings of 24-bit vs. 32-bit floating/192 kHz sample rate content using the MixPre-6, MixPre-6 II and a Sanken co-100k mic, intentionally clipping and distorting. Sound effect, vocals, and music examples. I am still shocked.

I've heard recording comparisons between the pre and the 702 using the same mics, the latter sounding more clear / less dull. How does a pre II recording sound like compared to a 702's? If that makes sense!
