The sad truth is that people with mental health needs now are often service seekers rather than service users. We need an honest debate about the realities of this.

When someone I follow on here posted about how desperately low they felt, people then reached out to say how much they meant to them. Why wait until someone is in despair? If you value someone you have on twitter and enjoy their posts - why not tell them today?

Struggling a bit just now. Feel embarrassed as been doing well for ages. Not looking for anything with this tweet other than to say that if you feel ashamed when things slip a bit that you’re not alone in that.

Important thread below. Also, the study found that sleep deprivation was a crucial factor, which makes sense - sleep is important for good mental health. But sleep deprivation can be caused by many things, including phones and also academic pressure, stress and early mornings.

So reduced my and took my car because they arbitrarily decided I could walk further than I realised. I appealed and now they’ve arbitrarily decided I can walk even further so I’m now ineligible for PIP. If I go to tribunal will they sign me up for the London Marathon?

Finding the relentless stigma against folk labelled with personality disorders painful to witness as an outsider. Not sure how well I’d cope if I knew it was aimed at me. Try not to perpetuate it, eh?

What is attachment in middle childhood and adolescence, and can we measure it? Our systematic review looked at the available measures. The take home: how we conceptualise and measure attachment in childhood must improve. In the meantime, let's be cautious.
