    After this poll and lots of discussion elsewhere, the consensus seems to be everyone wants t-shirts, but getting sizes and fits right for a large number of conference goers without disappointing anyone is either impossible or prohibitively expensive.

    This is a great, short history of Go and its path to modules.

    This is an absolutely fair criticism - we have not handled the community process around dependency management well. The core Go team was not involved early or often enough for that process to lead to a smooth landing. As tech lead for Go, that was my fault, and I apologize.
