    Some good friends of mine lived in the wooden house immediately to the right of this newer concrete building, some 25 years ago. I seem to remember the tunnel being there, but not the house, so it must have been built on top of the tunnel entrance.

    When I was in Tromsø, way back in 2015 for , I remember one of the coolest things was just this odd bit of urban design: an entrance to a massive underground road tunnel network, sort of hidden on the ground floor of a building. Like a scene from a Murakami novel.
