    They have an electoral system where every vote matters?

    The Irish leaders’ debate is really quite shocking. The three leaders have a detailed grasp of complex welfare and tax issues, they are polite and courteous, they admit mistakes, they say sorry. They might even be largely honest. Why is all that possible in Ireland but not here?

    As we are all in the UK currently, we have to make changes within, before we can leave. So we feel how about national versions of the UK passports, such as GIB currently has? United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - England for example? Look at Gibraltar's!

    England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales can all go in a different direction if they wish and rightly so! Our ancestors weren't originally 'British', they would've been: English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh and we should be again.

    I’ve always seen the “British” as English or - if Welsh - English wannabes. But I’m beginning to see them as different and separate from ordinary English folk, too. At their most extreme, the “British” are jingoistic, power-hungry imperialists. Ordinary English folk are not.

    So SNP had 1,242,380 votes which translated into 48 seats while LibDems had 3,696,423 votes which translated into 11 seats ? 🧐🤔🙄 And 865,697 votes for the Greens got them 1 seat ? 🙄 and we call this democracy??

    If the aftermath of this election has taught me anything, is that the "lack of hunger for independence" is an outdated idea. The hunger IS there. The want IS there as much as the need for independence IS there. is not just on the agenda, it IS the agenda.

    Get involved with the wider Welsh independence movement. Join or at least join the conversation. Without a future as an independent nation we will simply disappear as an invisible region in an increasingly right-wing rump England-and-Wales.
