On Sunday, 09.12.2018, the whole of Germany could have been supplied with electricity without fossil fuels, i.e. almost CO2-free. The additional generation of electricity from lignite, hard coal and gas served to stabilise the grid and for export. https://www.energy-charts.de/energy.htm?source=all-sources&period=daily&year=2018&week=49 …pic.twitter.com/8FLvXT8HxT

There is a big difference between theoretical and practical ramps! See the hourly values of nuclear and gas in 2018. Nuclear is mainly switched off for fuel element exchange but not ramped in power. Gas is really operated flexible.pic.twitter.com/4vpJXLBw8f
