If you know my family, and you continue to support Trump and/or the GOP, then you can just fuck off. I've been against them for a long time, but they are attacking my family now, and if that's what it takes for you to stop, then stop.

  2. Current calcs for tier 2 pricing for gas means I only need to HSPF of 4 to break even in costs. Considering there are ones rated at 10. Then, there's the fact that natgas should be moved away from, as there still isn't a renewable source of natgas.

Honest question: If you don’t write tests for your code, why? Are they too complicated to write, there isn’t enough time or is there something else?

you never hear people say this about women like “oh thats a girl not a woman” bc people will immediately call us bitches, hoes, etc. ,but theyll say “boys do that not men” so men dont have to take accountability for their shitty behavior

  9. So annoying. I was hungry so I ate a little lunch. But I wanted to eat a small portion knowing I'll be eating more (and better) food in a couple hours, but my tummy was having none of it and wants more!

  10. This is another important point, is that the journals get money from both the authors and the consumers.

(For anyone who doesn't already know, ALL of the money you pay to an academic journal to access a paper goes to the journal - the author sees none of it. Not a penny.)

Also note that the proposal allows for SPARC64 to use a newer external toolchain, but that didn't happen either. I'm sad, I think SPARC64 is a nice platform that, while it speculatively executes more than I'd like, has some great things about - but there's a time for everything.

  16. Sad to see it go, after having contributed to sparc64, getting PCI functional and helping out w/ the sun4v port a bit, but w/o the support it needs, it's time has long past. Don't forget that it doesn't mean it can't come back if someone wants to do the work!

  17. Twitter autoscroll/load sucks balls. I click on a video to watch, AND it starts playing the audio for a fraction of a second (so it even registered the click), but then autoscroll drops it off and stops playing it.

  18. If you buy a whole house battery [in CA at least], you are literally giving money to your electrical company. Yes, it provides a small amount of backup, but won't keep you powered for long power outages (multi day), and it will never pay for itself, even after SGIP.

(Never blame QA for bugs in a game. QA finds all the bugs. ALL. THE. BUGS. There's just never enough time to fix them, and/or sometimes a fix would be risky because it could destabilize other things.)

I mean when a game comes out with a lot of bugs in it, and people blame poor QA for that, there is a 0% chance that QA didn't identify those bugs.

This is because no one enthusiastically supports and benefits from the drug war more than cops and drug lords.
