True. But White Women still supported this guy... and that was consistent in the Midterms most notably in the Gubernatorial election in Georgia between Stacy Abrams and Brian Kemp.

I understand what you mean but remarks like well white women won't vote her in she doesn't have a chance so lets go with the white guy are a part of the problem and why the women lose.
-
Also white women who vote republican aren’t part of this calculus. They aren’t going to vote for a dem whether they’re man or woman. There’s no evidence that dem women vote R or stay home when women are on the ballot.
-
Unless they’re Bernie supporters, I guess.
-
Alot of women support him. But Im not making a case for him now. What I’m saying is that there is alot of prejudice ALOT. Its sad. NOT saying a women can’t win. The key (I think) is to reach the biggest voting bloc which will be millenials who tend to be more progressive.
-
We know what that means Oscar even if you aren’t saying it. And btw millennials have the lowest voter turnout of any voting group.
-
I’m a millennial, btw.
-
That is why whoever is running for president and YES Elizabeth Warren KILLED this week with her plan to reduce student debt. If candidates reach out and propose policy to the scale of our crises Millenials will vote. Get that threshold to EVEN 50% and Warren becomes POTUS today.

Stepping back a bit, this is the election for the most powerful man/woman on the planet. Don’t expect everyone to roll the red carpet in front of anyone. It’s tough regardless of gender. Focus on policy, not what papers say. When AOP is ready to run I’d vote for her regardless.
-
/AOC is the fighter with the guts to take on anyone. I bet she is not thinking “oh the papers say women are unelectable, I’ll go home now”. She is not seeing herself as a victim regardless of the shit the media is throwing at her. Just one example.
-
Acknowledging discrimination does not equate to seeing yourself as a victim. Kamala Harris is a black woman running for president. Does she come off as a victim to you? What about Elizabeth Warren? She founded an agency and got passed over to head it. No. They work twice as hard.
-
AOC is tough and admirable. You see her because she has made herself visible and accessible - and that’s very much to her credit. But she’s far from the only woman working against the grain and not complaining about it.
-
And AOC, unlike this guy, absolutely calls out the ways she faces discrimination all along the way. She doesn’t have the luxury brushing off marginalization as “identity politics” like certain so-called progressive candidates do.
-
At what point do we also acknowledge that "I don't like this field of women but I'd sure vote for AOC" is the 2019's "I just don't like Hillary but I'd sure vote for Elizabeth Warren."
-
The best part is AOC isn’t even 35 yet so they can do this for YEARS

There's some tension between the view that there's misogyny in society that affects for instance employment conditions and that women don't ever have an electably disadvantage in some swing states.
-
Of course they have a disadvantage. They work twice as hard to overcome it.
-
And have demonstrated the ability to do so with consistency.
-
Feels like part of the conditioning. Keep telling women they can’t. They aren’t. They shouldn’t. And they’ll keep proving guys wrong. And guys will keep moving the goal posts. Stat: Less funding, double the revenue: women.https://www.google.com/amp/s/thenextweb.com/business/2018/08/07/women-founders-get-less-funding-than-men-but-make-double-the-revenue/amp/ …

2 of the top 5 economies in the world have women as their head of state... This should be a used as a lesson in what's possible.
