There's a Fourth Amendment caucus in the House with Dems and GOPers who consistently push against surveillance (which obvious doesn't help the bulk of defendants charged by states).
Thanks. Is there an association or charity that helps public defenders/criminal defense attorneys and their clients in general though? Underfunded public defender offices are a crime (he says, noting the irony - or is it a pun?)

Surveillance isn't the issue. You can support tight rules on the use of surveillance but be pro-prosecution in cases where you think evidence was lawfully obtained.
