Q: Why are Republicans so nutty abt Stefan Harper being an informant but don't give a shit that long-time informants George Nader (who THEY welcomed into campaign) and Felix Sater have flipped again?

I mean, if the Deep State was on its A game they might claim credit for using to Nader to ensnare Trump and his spawn in billions of dollars of pay to play scandal. And yet ... Trump did that all by himself, as if it were second nature.

Felix Sater is an FBI informant, just as Stefan Halper is. You were right to wonder whether Sater will become controversial in Trumpland. He will, and soon.http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-na-pol-sater-trump-20170223-story.html …

Basket Case Marcy Wheeler (@emptywheel) knows the answer. All three of the individuals she names (Stefan Halper, Felix Sater, George Nader) were assets sent by the CIA and FBI to spy on the Trump campaign. Of the three, Halper didn't make any inroads. He's the juicy target. pic.twitter.com/maTcu3OH29

Because the narrative is “set up”. Selling a spy to their credulous base is easy. A guy inside talking is ... uncomfortable.

Felix is all over the place -- even in @tomtomorrow 's Manhattan outings... and Sater's been claiming things since a while. Has any indictment been tagged to his 'flip'?

Now BuzzFeed News has obtained the statement Sater gave under oath to House Intelligence Committee investigators at his attorney’s office in December, interviewed him extensively, and corroborated many details of his spy-thriller account through legal documents, emails, letters..

"He has built relationships with at least six members of special counsel Robert Mueller’s team, some going back more than 10 years." "Mueller himself would be the FBI director for most of the time Sater served as a source." "He also has been questioned by Mueller’s team..."

You're right, Sater hasn't flipped because his loyalties remain the same. Because he's always, always, always been a trusted informant for the FBI. Read the profile. This is all pretty obvious.
