MWT lawyer: We’re adults, parties in LV are more about bikinis and beer than kids playing marco polo. FBI Agent: It’s been a long time since I’ve been in Vegas but I assume so.

FBI Agent says there was suspicious activity overnight after he was arrested, she asked him about that. WannaCry cashout?

One thing at issue is whether Agents ever told Hutchins what the interview as about (Kronos or WannaCry, I think). ARrest warrant didn't say what the crime was.

Why do I have this weird sense they realized they got the wrong person and are trying to tank the case before it begins?
-
Because they eventually had their case looked at by experts and real FBI and got told exactly how thin their case is. They're honestly probably not dropping it only because most ppl stuck in another country would have been forced to be homeless and take a deal
-
It's hard to stress how extremely common it is to lean on and hope they can exploit someone once an arrest has been made, regardless of facts evidence that comes out later.
