And Cheney's mentor in such matters, in the Nixon WH, was Kissinger. Bolton is one of HAK's bastard progeny, another of the things for which HAK will ultimately answer to history.
Know who's academic bastard progeny I am? Fredric Jameson. Also Ariel Dorfman, which I'm more comfortable with.

And now Duke has them both. If you actually studied with either, I envy you. One of the 'Special Papers' in which I was examined at Oxford (B.A. in Philosophy, Politics & Economics) was in Marxism, and I read a lot of Jameson at that time. He had a major impact in China, I think.
