IIRC, PhRMA was a donor to the inaugural committee -- and at the time (circa January 2017), Mr. Jimenez (CEO of Novartis) was elected the incoming Chairman of PhRMA (the uber-powerful pharmaceutical manufacturers' trade assn.) -- all connected.
