Warner: I need to get a sense of what your moral code says about this kind of action. [Haspel taking notes abt Warner's comments abt Trump] Warner: What will you do when you are D/CIA? Haspel: My father served 33 years in AF, my parents gave me strong moral compass.

Haspel refuses to confirm she oversaw torture of al-Nashiri.

Haspel: It is very important that D/CIA adhere to classification guidelines that all CIA officers abide by. [This is her excuse for not declassifying her own record -- the precedent.]

Haspel suggests it would be a security risk to declassify link between her and al-Nashiri. There's only one risk here (because she's a target anyway): that she'd have to testify at Gitmo.

So who's the one? KSM?
-
Zubaydah. Public record had said that 2 tapes included Nashiri (they taped over on a day to day basis). If her statement is correct, they DIDN'T tape her.
-
Rubio: Would you buy a Huawei phone? Haspel: I don't have a social media presence, but I wouldn't buy a Huawei phone.
-
Wyden: No greater indictment of this process than that you decide what information gets released about your record. You publicly released Morell report Do you have any problem w/release of Durham report?
-
Haspel: I've not read the Durham report, I don't know the classification. I haven't read it so I don't know [if she has an objection]

Haspel writing notes while Wyden asks if she ever called for program to be continued from 2005-2007. Haspel: Like all of us, we all believed in our work. We believed techniques were legal and authorized. So, yes, she called for it to be continued.
-
Wyden: You're not answering the question. I'd like to have on the record whether you ever called for program to be continued.
