      Gordon would be an excellent pick. But I read that story to say that she's someone IC officials and Hill Republicans view as a contingency plan. Without some indication that Trump would be on board, I'm not sure it's more than wishful thinking.

      @steve_vladeck @marty_lederman @ghelt I agree with your point Susan about a Trump signoff. However, I do think in rejecting Haspel, & then any other unacceptable Trump nominee, a step would be taken to return the US to standards we all believe are in our best interests.

      If Haspel is voted down and Gordon is not picked it will unite the Haspel friendly people and the Haspel unfriendly people.
