Congress doesn't get a vote if Haspel is voted down?
-
You still gotta convince him to nominate Sue Gordon over, say, Tom Cotton. Not saying impossible, but I think anxiety is coming from perceived risk if Haspel can't clinch it.
-
Is the whip any different on Cotton? If not, wait. She's acting, where she'll do a good job until the Senate can weigh in on what the US, especially Congress, actually wants in a D/CIA.
