I don’t know, but this is what I think the policy should be. And American presidents are capable of inconsistency and hypocrisy. I think it’s just as important btw for US civil society to support Iranian civil society

Again, read my column. I say explicitly America cannot choose Iran’s leaders. There is a democracy movement in Iran right now. They despise the regime. I say let’s help them.
