Oversight is important. I think the American people were served in the sense that everyone in the community did everything in their power and within the law to stop and destroy al Qa'ida. The program was a mistake put together when their were no good options.

Curious: Does the CIA maintain that if analysts don't talk directly to CIA assets -- if they instead rely on reporting cables for analytic products -- the products are invalid?
