It's just so far fetched, that kind of collusion story, and the evidence is against it.
A more narrow point. Rob Goldstone set up the meeting, not Veselnitskaya (and Agalorov is the one who suggested it). So my buddy Trent's fatal errors started when he focused on her, not Goldstone and Agalarov.

That's fair. And there is a lot that is unknown/conflicting in the accounts of all this. I'm not saying they're not a bunch of shady folks, btw. I'm actually really serious that you should check out the relevant sections of the Mitrokhin Archive book.

Several points about which there is no conflict. 1) Goldstone got the meeting, not Veselnitskaya. 2) He did it for the Agalarovs.
