Given the too-numerous-to-list shortcomings of the attorneys for Team Trump, a untested & unproven "belief" in the superiority of Team Mueller has taken hold in many minds. Can it be they are mere mortals?
I think DOJ 1) has gotten flabby with its unthinking belief it can police other nation-states 2) underestimated the degree to which Putin is determined to maintain his win here.

I also think folks who don't watch criminal trials regularly think it's always about the good guy winning. That's not the way it works. Prosecutors do get a lot of advantages. But this will be a slog in any case.

Agree that DOJ might've gotten a bit flabby here, but also think there are too many who assume or believe in Team Mueller superiority so much that they grant omnipotence in all that Team Mueller will do. Wishful thinking? For some, perhaps many, yes.
