If you watch full clip, He tried to imply that they were still trying to determine if there was collusion but I’m with you, if they knew all the answer to the questions they asked then Caputo’s statement doesn’t really make sense.

Maybe ignorant question: So if they know the answers, and trump testifies, and the answer given is a fifth amendment or privilege response, then does that response hurt them (because no corroboration) or help them (because they have other evidence and trump failed to refute it?)
-
The most important part of Trump testimony would be him saying something was the policy of his campaign, not just (say) Flynn freelancing.
-
He kinda already did, publicly Several times cc

Denial isn’t just a river in Egypt.

-
Isn’t this what good lawyers do? Caputo’s surprise is mind boggling.
-
Good lawyering probably would mean stripping him of his denialism and with the amounts he claims he’s spent on lawyers one would hope they were good at their jobs.

Good trial lawyers always know the answer to any question they ask. They only ask to get the other person to say it in the record.
