#Cult45 is so dominating it’s hard to see strong intra-party coalitions developing in the Republican Party any time soon. But a lot depends on how Trump goes down. It’s interesting to watch.

I have a pet madcap theory that Mitch McConnel (who, it seems, really weilds the power and makes the decisions) is just waiting until 2 years into Trump's term to move for impeachment - result is Pence for 2 years plus ability to run for *two more full terms* per constitution.

Pence was head of the Transition Team. I really don’t understand how he’s managed to avoid scrutiny so far. I don’t think he’s involved in Trumps shenanigans necessarily but dereliction of duty at very least. What did he know and when?

Exactly. Nixon went relatively quietly. Trump won't. Trump will throw anyone under the bus and take as many down with him as possible.
