Not about the unix, but how a unique identifier might actually return 100 identifiers.

The Unix ref was only a rant about "Identifying duplicates is something we've been really good at doing on computers for a very long time." (And before Unix, I did that on IBM 360 mainframes with punch cards, in CS100 class.)
