Regardless of Judge Ellis' pending ruling, the other side will appeal. That being said, it was disturbing to accuse the DOJ of not really being interested in prosecuting someone for major bank fraud and tax evasion. Al Capone is laughing in his grave right about now.

So....it would take longer to convict him? That's a good point if Manafort truly believes he can win on the merits and that his defense will be ready by July. I've been assuming he was stalling and attacking at any angle so if one cracks he could argue the whole case is suspect.
