More generic question: I thought squeezing someone on even unrelated crimes to flip them on someone else was a legal part of prosecution toolkit? Is it being questioned only because special counsel suppose to be limited?
It does happen all the time. Judge said today: "I'm not saying it is illegitimate."

Ellis' de facto assumption is Manafort is guilty af.
Ellis then argues the prosecution cannot prosecute Manafort b/c they don't care enough about his assumed crimes.
I re-read the article &Ellis was even worse than I originally saw. He is out to get the August memo that is sought by Freedom caucus.
Sounds like this judge is biased and overly dramatic. Don’t need that in this case.
