So in the last week, the President's personal lawyer has deemed Jared "expendable" (suggesting he has criminal exposure) and another lawyer close to the WH has deemed POTUS' defense a suicide mission. OK then.

A guess? I feel some among the GOP are now trying to save a Pence presidency. Get a rational actor (Flood) to gain a foot hold and begin to define a managed end game. Otherwise the bottom will fall out and the ensuing chaos takes out Pence.

Things I've noticed... 1) It sure 'feels' like the GOP are more concerned about the mutual aids of Greitens and Pence, than Greitens 2) The Cavuto and WSJ editorials 3) Pence playing to the cultural "Muricans" base with the Arpaio crap

It may well be a suicide mission in the sense that Trump will be impossible to defend, but Charles Manson had lawyers, right? Flood will defend the Presidency, fighting the establishment of bad precedents, then hit the button on the ejector seat as it goes down in flames.

The only way to measure the effectiveness of a trump lawyer is wether or not he is capable of preventing a client from going crazy on Twitter for more than 3 days. Even the best legal credentials may not help in achieving this goal.
