When was Cheney almost impeached?
Folks, I know it sounds cool when you say Flood is Clinton's impeachment lawyer. But you'd be as well to think of him as Cheney's non-impeachment lawyer. That's what he was hired to do in this case, and he's a damn good lawyer.

Cheney did a lot that was worthy of impeachment, most notably w/Plame, but also w/torture. Flood made sure Congress never got a foothold to do so.

You have to admire the practice niche he's carved out. That's not an easy thing to do. It's a small client pool.

Disagree, as much as I think Trump is a disaster the office of POTUS deserves competent legal representation.

Being a damned good lawyer only gets you so far in a political environment. It’s mostly about working the levers of power under the radar. Not sure that model works here.

Also too, being an “impeachment lawyer” means working Congress (House) to fend off impeachment. Here, the House of Reprehensibles is squarely in Trump’s corner.
