One point I don't believe the Engel interview established was whether the edits she suggested in the Ru govt. response to US were acted upon. Was an official response ever submitted, and does it incorporate her edits ?

It was. What SHE contested (or at least did not confirm) is that the actual track changes doc was hers. She admitted that the language from it is what she used in court filings.

Yes, w/ slight caveat that, because she's not admitted to the bar in the U.S., she was not formally part of the U.S. defense team. Nevertheless, as the AUSA in the Engel program noted, she was the 'driver' of defense strategy.
