Not saying the cable news people are getting it right (they seldom do), but seems a bit like semantics in this particular situation. Unless I am missing something, she was likely *knowingly* part of an opp, not a simple advocate.

Again, little described here--except an ESL speaker's use of the word "informant"--that you wouldn't see from a similarly situated US attorney working a foreign case w/contacts in the US.
