I find it pretty damn narrow and inconsequential.
Even if it were inconsequential, you have to refer it or every defendant forever, including Stephanopoulos and Flynn, will point to McCabe.

This referral is based on how 2 people recall authorization of non public information being released to the WSJ. Leveraged by Trump supporters as evidence that McCabe is a criminal. Absurd.

Not trying to be combative here: Are you sure McCabe didn't inadvertently confirm the Clinton Foundation investigation after NY desk leaks to WSJ? Seems there is supposition added in the timeline.
