I wonder whether anyone has explained to Trump that he's going to have different challenges killing SDNY investigation into Cohen than he would killing Mueller investigation.

How different is Sessions's recusal from Berman's? I guarantee there will be a more undetectably compromised Koch-vetted nominee to replace Berman by May 3. Will that one have the power over SDNY investigators & prosecutors that a RR or Sessions replacement would over Mueller?
We don't have good details on either. Or on what Trump plans to do with Berman, but no one is nominated. I'm not sure Trump gets a second interim.

District court appoints the next US attorney until one is confirmed by the Senate. Senator Gillibrand said she wouldn’t return a blue slip on Berman so don’t know who could get through assuming Grassley sticks to his word on blue slips for US attorneys.
