I just read somewhere that Armitage IDed Plame. And that Libby was charged with Perjury by Fitzgerald SC not the actual crime of IDing Plame.
Hmm. So Libby's notes recording Cheney ordering him to leak classified info to Judy Miller, Miller's sworn testimony saying he IDed Plame, and Libby's GJ testimony reinforcing that he did leak stuff don't exist? Also, why did two journos ask the same nonsensical Q of Armitage?

A lot of Bushites make that claim about Armitage, but without any reasons for it. And yes, Libby was convicted of the coverup rather than the thing being covered up. Lack of proof.

Actually not lack of proof. If BUSH ordered Libby to leak Plame's ID, it'd be illegal. If Cheney did w/o Bush's OK, it wouldn't necessarily be. THAT's what Libby covered up (and why he was commuted).
