It’s interesting to read and listen to so much criminal procedure commentary by people who have zero experience with the actual mechanics of an FBI raid or the mechanics of dealing with it in court. It’s not something you find in the casebooks. A lot goes on in the background.

We can debate this all day long. While all federal cops are ultimately responsible as case agents to DOJ they are separate entities. With their own offices, IG's and separate ethical responsibilities. As for serious cases I've never seen case agents controlling the march.
