I don't understand how someone can be a lawyer again after being convicted of this type of crime. Seems antithetical to the profession, but may be I'm just romanticizing that job?

Pretty sure he reapplied to DC Bar after W commuted his sentence and he was turned down on character grounds.

He has had his right to vote and bar license restored. This is purely symbolic. But it is a huge symbol.

Not sure his bar status is automatically reinstated. Has to show good character if he’s been disbarred.
