Their phrase-parsing is v. dangerous here: "only supporting surgical strikes" sounds nice but recall "strategic" & "tactical" use of nukes is part of their active mindset. A "surgical strike" w/a tactical 'battlefield nuke' is still a very real possibility. And a very bad idea.
Corker jumps in to get Pompeo to clarify he wants to refresh 2001 AUMF, and that he's only supporting surgical strikes in Syria.
