He listens to opinion journos on Fox explicitly *tell* him to fire Mueller all the time; it seems odd to suggest that one question from one NYT interview is guiding his thinking on this.

It isn't GUIDING it, it created it. That's the difference. And I hope they wouldn't argue what Fox is doing these days is "journalism."

That's what they should start by explaining. Either they invented it or they served as stenographer's for Trump's attack on Constitution. They should decide which it is.

Haberman tweeted last night that he was saying it privately which is why they asked. IDK though. I get where you're coming from but it seems a little farfetched to suggest that one question from the times will precipitate a constitutional crisis.
