I feel like they should’ve asked for more time to respond to the two additional oppositions dropping tonight (iirc) too. They’ve got a lot of homework to do.
Given Manafort's Hail Mary today to force Mueller to stop piling on the indictments, I wonder whether it's time to respond they need to time to reassess their not-flipping strategy.

Because Mueller is about to indict him with something he really doesn't want to be indicted for? I was thinking it was just Deripaska charges but maybe it's something even more onerous.

Why not? I think Manafort is too hot to pardon for anything right now, but I've long assumed a last-day-in-office pardon is quite possible.
