Two docket watch details I note about the Mueller memo dropped very late last night: 1) They used the title “Attorneys for the United States of America” rather than "Senior Assistant Special Counsel" they had been using.

Maybe Mueller has opened an ENTIRE NEW prong to his investigation that Freeny has gone off to lead? Good thing he has 17+ prosecutors.

Eh, maybe. Or when filing things late, maybe not perfect attention was paid to the signature lines. Nobody, and I mean nobody, expects that to be analyzed to that granularity.

As a general principle, I’d agree with that. However, the Mueller team hasn’t shown a lot of this kind of sloppiness. So, it probably means something. Of course, what that is, I have no clue!

As others have noted the Attorneys for USA thing is NOT unique. I was wrong. The Freeny thing does seem like it may not be an accident.
