There have been strong hints from the start that Papadopoulos told others and Sessions knew about the emails; unclear whether this latest is just Wilson's projection of that. https://thinkprogress.org/george-papadopoulos-new-claim-jeff-sessions-chicago-nightclub-da653988529c/ … https://www.emptywheel.net/2017/11/13/on-the-miller-confirmation-and-sessions-email-obfuscation/ … https://www.emptywheel.net/2017/11/01/the-false-statements-george-papadopoulos-made-about-dirt-were-designed-to-hide-whether-he-told-the-campaign-about-the-emails/ …

Oh, I thought you were suggesting that Wilson was just projecting his own beliefs onto the convo. That is what I was responding to.
-
No. I'm suggesting that the report doesn't seem to support the explosive new claim charge. It does advance what we think we might know somewhat, in ways that'll make Sessions deservedly uncomfortable.
-
I think that's a fair point but it would contradict Session's testimony that his communications with GP consisted of him waiving him off Russia connections
-
Which 1) is a claim AFAIK limited to the March 31 meeting and 2) has already been refuted by 3 sources who testified to one or another authority.
-
I think it is explosive, actually Let's Keep Plying Papa w/Fresh Drinks is my new Don't Tread On Me

-
I'm happy to have the incremental proof that Sessions is in a lot more pokey than he claims. But I also don't want him to have reason to have to quit before Mueller is ready with the magnet indictment.
