I've admittedly been vacating, so may have missed this. What happens if the McCabe-Comey "discrepancy" (which may well be minor, but wouldn't be treated as such by FBI Agents investigating your or me) comes down on McCabe's side during Comeyganza?

Jeff Sessions had bigger discrepancies with his own testimony. This didn’t seem like a discrepancy at all
One person recalling with greater clarity perhaps but geez that happens in my house multiple times a day between hubby and I. 
Again, it may or may not be -- we don't really know yet. But the agency Comey and McCabe used to run have cut others, particularly brown people, far less slack.

I hear you. I know the standards are high but this seems like a way to justify the firing and to do it in the fashion it was done was spiteful. Our President blatantly lies and misleads the country daily without being held to the same high standard

The IG reportedly backed the firing. He's not Trump. Far from it. It is simultaneously possible that Trump abuses his power and that FBI has developed a well-documented habit of being less forthcoming than it needs to be.

Mid-April, his book comes out. I heard in one place (forgot where), ppl are paying $850 to hear him. He's tall, so you'll probably see his head. But I'd save the $850, let Twitter screen post the book for you, and donate a few bucks to a sharp analyst like
@emptywheel instead.
