The thing I keep thinking, the incompetence of the implementation of most changes have lead to myriad lawsuits preventing or delaying the worst. Thank god they’re not better at it, but immigration is too efficient.

It’s striking how unambitious much of this corruption is: for every “Erik Prince and the mercenary caliphate,” there’s five no-bid contractor make-work assignments for so and so’s contributors. My paranoid fantasies expected some grander design, and it’s a bit disappointing
